CapTel Phone

A specialized telephone designed specifically to interact with the CapTel Captioning Service in order to display captions. The telephone does not, all by itself, translate spoken words into written captions. The CapTel Captioning Service transcribes the caller's spoken words into written captions, which appear on the CapTel phone display.

prefer to use their own voice instead of typing their conversations.
Used through the local TTY relay service, the user speaks to the other party and reads the incoming messages on a two-line lighted LCD screen. It is also a powerful 30 dB amplified phone with an adjustable tone equalizer to enhance sound clarity. The VCO requires the use of an AC outlet and includes 6 programmable handset and automatic amplification reset. The Dialogue VCO also works in conjunction with a separate voice answering machine.
